The Homefront
SMS & email consent
How you opt in, exactly what we send, and how you make it stop. Consent language version 2026-07-09.v1.
Text messages (SMS)
You opt in with an unchecked-by-default checkbox when you post a job or join the bench. The checkbox says one of:
- “Text me about my job posts and applicants.” (customers)
- “Text me about jobs and applications.” (pros and students)
By checking this box, you agree to receive text messages from The Homefront about your job posts and applicants. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. View our Privacy Policy and Terms.
We record the timestamp and the exact version of the language you agreed to. Texts are reserved for act-now moments only — a matching job for your bench, you were chosen, a check-in, a rating ask. No marketing blasts. Message frequency varies with your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is never a condition of using the board.
Stop any time: reply STOP to opt out (we honor it in our own records, not just at the carrier), HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Right now, the alerts described above arrive by email instead of text while our SMS registration completes. Same moments, same content, your email instead of your phone. By adding an email address to your account you agree to receive them. Every email carries a manage-alerts link; sign-in codes and legally required notices are the only sends that ignore your alert preferences.
The fine print
We never sell your number or your email, and we never share them with other members beyond what the reveal flow shows (Privacy · Terms). Questions: reply HELP to any text, or start at the help page.
